For two weeks each fall, the Governor James B Hunt Horse Complex hosts Jump for the Children. This Hunter/Jumper show gives equestrians a chance to compete while helping raise funds for Duke Children’s.
The Governor James B Hunt Horse Complex offers multiple well-maintained outdoor rings, plus the indoor arena. Food is available on-site through varied food trucks. Grounds are well maintained and easy to navigate and the stabling is safe and sufficient for the equine athletes.
Points earned count toward Zone 3 Horse of the Year standings along with circuit awards through Triangle Farms.
Finding a place to stay is easy, as the complex is conveniently located close to many hotels. Several of these hotels offer Jump For the Children hotel discounts. Since the show is within Raleigh city limits, there are also numerous VRBO options, as an alternative to a hotel. Off-site dining is also easily available at numerous local restaurants, ranging from fast casual to upscale.
